AGE GROUP PROGRAM

The age group program is offered in partnership with the Naperville Park District (NPD). The West Suburban Water Polo Club (WSWPC) provides the leadership, instruction and administration for this program. We welcome coed athletes ages 9 - 14 yrs old (not yet in high school). Athletes will be grouped according to age, experience and ability and must be able to swim 100 yard freestyle safely in an all-deep facility. The coaching staff may move participants from one level to another based upon their skill level and swimming ability. Consider showing your West Sub spirit and order your Apparal today!

Update Posted 9/1/10: Due to the successful Age Group Registration, West Sub Naperville #1615 has entered the Midwest Age Group Fall League with two 12U coed, two 14U Boys and one 14U Girls Teams. Athlete will be evaluated and placed on a Black or Gold Team. Several 12U Girls may also be welcomed to the 14UG roster. The Home and Away League Game Schedule is being drafted and will be posted as soon as it is available.

West Sub will host several home tourney's from 8 am - 3 pm for all Teams on Sept 19 at WV (12U Coed) and NN (14U Boys and Girls) plus Oct 10 (12U and 14U) at WV. Our Teams will play one or two games at each Tourney. The Away Tourney Games will approx. the list detailed below. We ask Parents to submit the Parent/Athlete Information Form and volunteer to make these events a success. To be eligible for League play, all athletes must login to USWP and register as a player for West Sub Naperville #1615 in the Midwest Age Group Water Polo League Fall ‘10. Questions can be directed to your Lead Coach or our Program Admininstrator.

2010 COMPETITIVE LEVEL WATER POLO

Continue your development with Fall Age Group Water Polo competing against comparable athletes throughout the region! Sign up Today to represent West Suburban WPC in the Chicagoland Water Polo League plus a chance to represent Naperville in the USA National Age Group Championship - Speedo Cup.

WSWPC plans to field a U12 COED, U14 GIRLS and U14 Boys teams. More information on League and Tourney play will be provided at our Parent Meeting Aug 25th. In addiiton, a limited USWP membership is required for participation at this level. See USWP Registration steps or Contact Us with any questions.

Midwest Zone Qualification Championship (Approx 4 Games over two days between 8-3 pm)

BY INVITE ONLY: October 2-3 @ Lyons HS
WSWPC STAFF will select up to fifteen U14 Boys and U14 Girls to represent us in the Qualification Tourney
An addt'l $50 athlete fee to WSWPC & Gold USWP membership will be required.
The Tournament Champion Boy and Girl Teams will be invited to represent the Midwest Zone at Age Group National Championship (formerly Speedo Cup), mid-Nov. 2010, location TBA.

NON-COMPETITIVE INTRO TO WATER POLO

Ages 8-11 and 12-14. If you are a pretty good swimmer and you love soccer or basketball, you should try this introductory water polo program. Basic skills and rules of the game will be taught. Children must be 8 years and older and must be able to complete FOUR lengths of the pool without stopping swimming freestyle.
